Joy D. Beaudin
Joy D. Beaudin, 64, of Butler died Wednesday morning at Community Living Center at VA Butler Healthcare.
Joy was born July 5, 1952, in Dubois. She was the daughter of Harold and Sara Cook Hendricks.
She attended school in Punxsutawney and was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having attained the rank of sergeant. Joy enjoyed the company of her dog, Zoey, going to drive-ins, boating and camping on the river and having a cold beer. Joy was an avid Johnny Cash fan. She most especially enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joy is survived by her daughter, Laura M. Messer; her son, Shawn Guido and his wife, Jennifer, of Philadelphia; five grandchildren, Sara, Katelyn, Michael, Louis and Fiona; a number of great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Snyder of Punxsutawney and Karen Nicholson of California; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harold “Wilt” Hendricks; and her sister, Sandra Freeman.
BEAUDIN — Friends Joy D. Beaudin, who died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, will be received from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday at Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, where a memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. with Robert F. Ripper, chaplain, U.S.A., ret., officiating.
