William Shulik

Shulik

William J. Shulik, 82, of Latrobe, formerly of Butler, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025, at Independence Health System Latrobe Hospital.

Born March 26, 1943, in Butler, he was the son of the late William P. Shulik and Margaret (Zavacky) Shulik.

A 1961 graduate of Butler Area High School, he later graduated from Robert Morris College in 1975. Prior to his retirement in 2021, Bill spent his career in sales. He was an avid sports fan, especially of Pittsburgh teams, and enjoyed golfing and jazz music. However, his greatest joy was time spent with his grandchildren and supporting them at all of their events.

Bill is survived by two daughters, Jackie Rider, and her husband, Brian, of Latrobe, and Kelly Crouch, and her husband, Cecil III, of Butler; four grandchildren, Allen Rider, Aryn Rider, Cecil Crouch IV and Colin Crouch; his brother, David Shulik, and his wife, Mary, of Clark, Pa.; his nephews and niece, Rob Shulik, Josh Shulik and Jessica Combine, and families.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, the Rev. Bernard P. Shulik and James Shulik.

SHULIK — There will be no public visitation for William J. Shulik, who died Monday, July 21, 2025. Services and interment are private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
