Richard Vesnesky
Richard W. Vesnesky, 72, of Butler died early Friday morning at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
Born July 14, 1942, in Clearfield County, he was a son of the late Walter Vesnesky and Frances (Zielinski) Vesnesky.
Richard graduated from high school and worked as a roofer.
He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 117 in Butler.
He had loved music as he played the congo drums and sang for several Butler area bands. He also had enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon (Byers) Vesnesky, who he married Oct. 4, 1996; two sisters, Joyce Hofmeister of Butler and Janet Frampton of New Kensington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son.
His family would like to thank the Good Samaritan Hospice for the care and would like to give a special thanks to his caregivers, Amy Knappenberger, Michele Rea, Becky Mattioli and Pam Rettig.
VESNESKY — Friends of Richard W. Vesnesky, who died Friday, July 10, 2015, will be received 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Butler.
