Josephine “Josie” (Rodi) Witzel

Josephine “Josie” (Rodi) Witzel, 86, of Harrisville, formerly of Bridgeville, unexpectedly passed away Wednesday.

She was the beloved wife of the late Harold “Pappy” Witzel and her first husband, Anthony Crocetti; the loving mother of Lorraine (Thomas) Kollar and Marlene (Jack) Urso; the treasured grandmother of Gina (Palmer) Masciola, Christa (Max) Brahler, Mark (Annie) Urso, Taryn (John) Pry and Jaclyn (Jason) Comisar; the caring great-grandmother of 14; and the sister of Mary Rosa, the late Nick Rodi, Paul Rodi and Frances Paoletti.

Josie is survived by her loving stepsons, Dale and Bill Kaymark, and many caring nieces and nephews.

Josie enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She owned two restaurants, Josie's Deli in Morgan and Josie's Pasta Palace in the South Side.

Josie enjoyed attending St. Anthony's Church in Forestville with her close friends. Josie will be remembered for her hospitality, caring nature, generosity to her grandchildren, and most of all her love for her family.

WITZEL — Friends and family of Josephine, “Josie” (Rodi) Witzel, who died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, are welcome from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the BEINHAUER-FRYER FUNERAL HOME, 430 Washington Ave., Bridgeville.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Monday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 330 3rd Ave., Carnegie.
