Bruins retiring O’Ree’s No. 22
BOSTON — Willie O’Ree, 86, is having his No. 22 Boston Bruins jersey retired on Tuesday.
O’Ree became the NHL’s first Black player on Jan. 18, 1958, when he played against Montreal.
