Wallace Ray Stoner, 87, of Tarrs, passed away at 11:52 p.m. on Independence Day, Friday, July 4, 2025, at his residence.

Ray was born Oct. 17, 1937, in Tarrs, East Huntingdon Township, a son of the late Harry H. and Bertha L. (Robaugh) Stoner.

He married Dalene A. (Myers) Stoner on Sept. 24, 1966.

Ray was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He graduated from East Huntingdon High School, Class of 1955, and was employed as a truck driver with Ferrell Gas Company for 30 years. Ray was a faithful member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church at Tarrs and enjoyed woodcrafting, gardening and watching football.

Ray will be sadly missed by his loving family, his wife of 58 years, Darlene A. (Myers) Stoner; his three sons, Scott A. Stoner and wife, Randi, of Butler, Mark B. Stoner and Michael R. Stoner, both of Ruffs Dale, Pa.; his three grandchildren, Michael R. Stoner Jr., Saxon C. Stoner and Sutton C. Stoner; and his loyal “Goldens” Tilly, Winchester and Magnum.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harry H. Stoner; his two sisters, Ruby Stoner and Rhoda Crivella; his cat, BigBoy; and dog, Hudson.

STONER — Personalized arrangements for Wallace Ray Stoner, who died Friday, July 4, 2025, are under the professional supervision of ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale.

At Ray’s request, there will be no viewing. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 20, in the funeral home chapel.

Final resting place will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Tarrs.
