Charles B. Kubit, 79, of Butler, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.

Born Sept. 3, 1945, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Joseph Kubit and Sophie Probol Kubit.

Chuck had worked as a locksmith at Western Penitentiary and served as a combat engineer in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Chuck enjoyed working in his garage, where he had the skills to fix almost anything. He was patient, kind and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. He was also a lifelong lover of animals.

Surviving are his wife, Karen L. (Knauss) Kubit, whom he married July 28, 1979; his son, Charles T. (C-c) Kubit of Baltimore, Md.; his daughter, Nicole (Jeffrey Linz) Kubit of Renfrew; and two grandchildren, Jacob and Natalie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Joseph, Anthony, Bernard and Leonard; and his niece, Suzie.

KUBIT — There will be no public services for Charles B. Kubit, who died Thursday, July 17, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Sepulcher Church or Good Samaritan Hospice.
