The city of Butler’s option for drive-through coffee is undergoing renovations.

The Dunkin’ at 236 N. Main St. closed earlier this month for a “total renovation” of the location, Butler Mayor Bob Dandoy said Thursday, July 17.

“(Dunkin is) undergoing complete remodeling,” Dandoy said. “I don’t have a date for reopening, other than when they’re done.”

Dunkin’ did not immediately reply for requests for comment.

Despite being unsure when the location will reopen, Dandoy took a moment to express his excitement about the renovation.

“I’m happy to see a business invest and have confidence in the city,” Dandoy said. “I wish them continued success. I hope this is just a prelude to what I’m trying to make happen downtown.”

The Dunkin’ location opened its doors in August 2015 and cost roughly $1 million to construct.
