Edward “Eddy” James Boring
Edward “Eddy” James Boring, 73, of Butler died peacefully Friday at St. Barnabas Hospice with his loving wife, Diana, at his side.
Eddy was born Feb. 25, 1942, in Butler Township. He was a lifelong resident of Butler.
Ed attended and graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and served actively in the U.S. Air Force for 6 years.
Eddy worked as a project engineer at PennDOT for nearly 30 years. He also owned a local music store, the Bandstand.
An avid music enthusiast, he played drums in his own band as well as performing with several local music groups.
Eddy will be deeply missed by his wife of 23 years, Diana (Mueller) Boring; his daughter, Krystal (Emmy) Boring of Drexel Hill; his stepdaughter, Teresa (Stan) Sims of McAlisterville, Pa.; his four grandchildren, Amanda Colucci, Tifany Boring, Navarre and Nava Sims; and three nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Janet and Lyman “Bus” Boring; his brother, Lyman Boring; and his son, Mark E. Boring.
