County Bowlers among state’s best

HARRISBURG — Butler County bowlers remain among the leaders in the 76th annual Pennsylvania State Bowling Association Tournament with two weekends remaining.

“5 Guys From Mars” are 16th in team handicapped with a 3,439. Mark Dershem and Mike Schriver are third in doubles handicapped with a 1,541. Dershem is tied for 17th in all events handicapped with a 2,194.

Dylan Cimbala is tied for fifth in singles handicapped with a 789.

Ron Henry is 16th in all events scratch with a 2,080. Bill Hartle is tied for 18th in senior handicapped with a 709.

Races canceled at Lernerville

BUFFALO TWP — Late-afternoon rain forced the cancellation of Fab Four Racing at Lernerville Speedway Friday night.

All four divisions are scheduled to run at the track next Friday.

BlueSox game postponed

The Butler BlueSox’s Prospect League baseball game at Richmond (Ind.) was postponed Friday night due to rain. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader June 23 at Richmond.

The Sox (7-7) return home to host Chillicothe in a two-game series, beginning at 7:05 p.m. Saturday.
