Little Bear Johnny and Maya French

An Aug. 2 wedding is being planned by Maya French and Little Bear Johnny, both of Washington State.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Pam French and the late Gabe French of Portersville. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Dean and Shana Johnny of Washington state.

The future bride is a 2018 graduate of Slippery Rock High School and a 2022 graduate of Slippery Rock University. She received a degree in political science.

She is employed as a first lieutenant for the U.S. Army at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state.

Her fiancé graduated from Bates Technical College in 2025.

He is employed by Harley-Davidson in Washington state.
