Grubb Rd. closed and power out after wind knocks down wire
Power is out and Grubb Road is closed after gusty winds this morning blew down a tree, which toppled wires and snapped a utility pole in Cherry
Township.
Electrical lines as well as cable and telephone lines and the pole were downed across the road, which is south of Branchton Road, about 7:30 a.m., said Reid Campbell of the West Sunbury Volunteer Fire Department.
West Penn Power, Armstrong and CenturyLink crews have all been notified.
“The road is probably going to be closed for a period of time,” he said shortly before 9:30 a.m.
West Penn Power officials said up to 20 customers are without service, which is expected to be restored about 11 a.m.
