A Sept. 18 is being planned by Heather Francis and Shawn Denham, both of Karns City.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Lawrence "Bud" and Sue Francis of Chicora. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Jeanine Prgomet of Pittsburgh and the late Patrick Denham.

The bride-elect is a 1995 graduate of Karns City High School and a 2000 graduate of Indiana (Pa.) University. She works for U.S. Investigation Services.

Her fiancé is a 1984 graduate of Central Catholic High School, and a 1992 graduate of Robert Morris University and the Community College of the U.S. Air Force. He works for the Pennsylvania State Police.
