An Oct. 2 wedding is being planned by Butler residents Melissa Beachem and Steven Fisher.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of David Beachem of Butler and Kathy Beachem of Slippery Rock. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Wayne and Cheryl Fisher of West Sunbury.

The bride-elect graduated in 1994 from Moniteau High School. She works for Penn Telecom in Butler.

Her fiancé graduated in 1996 from Moniteau High School. He works for Griffen Services in Coraopolis.
