Lernerville Speedway: Tim Shaffer wins Sunday Dirt.TV 3-Wide Sprint main event
Tim Shaffer won the Sprint Car feature Sunday night at Lernerville Speedway in the Dirt.TV 3-Wide event.
Shaffer started from the No. 2 spot, and pole-sitter Brandon Spithaler finished second.
Through the first handful of races this season, Carl Bowser, who finished fifth Sunday, leads the Peoples National Gas Sprint Car points standings with 104. AJ Flick, fourth Sunday, is second with 95.
In other results: Timmy Bittner won the Allegheny Sprint Tour Feature, Jeremiah Shingledecker won the Big Block Modified feature and Mike Bakalon won the NE Crown Vic Series race.
In other dirt track action over the weekend, Sarver resident Kenny Schaltenbrand won his debut at Hidden Valley Speedway, in Clearfield, Friday in the 10th Shawn “Sheetz” McGarvey Memorial Super Late Models race.
Schaltenbrand won $3,000. He started in the front row and took the lead early. A Lap 15 caution flag drew Schaltenbrand back to the pack, but he took the lead again and held on.
