Andrew Zanotti
Andrew D. Zanotti, 95, of Cabot, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
Born Nov. 22, 1929, in West Leechburg, he was the son of Dominick M. Zanotti and Theresa Bosin Zanotti.
Andy was a gifted athlete in high school and received a football scholarship to St. Francis College, where he was known as the Zipper. He also raced flat-track motorcycles during those years. Of the many sports trophies he received, he was most proud of his athlete of the year trophy at St. Francis.
Andy served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War in Japan.
He and his wife owned and operated Zanotti Motor Company on Route 8 South in Butler for 57 years, having purchased the dealership from his father. Over the years, he sold a multitude of products, and he brought much fun and enjoyment to others. Andy was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot and the Western Pennsylvania Harley-Davidson Dealer Association, where he had served as president. He was also one of the founding members and former president of Sunset Riders Motorcycle Club as well as a life member of Harley-Davidson Owners Group and American Motorcycle Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling.
Surviving are wife, Doris (Doerr) Zanotti, whom he married June 14, 1958; his son, Dean A. Zanotti of Monroeville; his daughter, Anita D. (Mark) Peffer of Butler; six grandchildren, Andrew D. Zanotti, Sarah (Caleb) Costanzo, August D. Zanotti, Olivia J. Zanotti, Matthew A. (Maria) Peffer and Nicholas R. Peffer; and three great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Henry and Lydia.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Donald A Zanotti; and one grandson, Vincent.
ZANOTTI — Friends of Andrew D. Zanotti, who died Wednesday, July 2, 2025, will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 6, at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 7, at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot, with the Revs. Barry Keurulainen and Ben Berteau officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Luke Cemetery.
