Mark D. Snead, 67, of Butler, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025.

He was born in Pittsburgh on June 23, 1957, to the late William and Harriet (O’Brien) Snead. Mark graduated from Shaler High School, Class of 1983, and then graduated from technical school and did technology classes for Toshiba, Minolta, Konica and Kyocera. He was employed at RTR Business Products for 42 years.

Mark was known for having a great heart, being good-natured, strong-willed, selfless, and would always do things for others and expect nothing in return. He was considered a hero to his immediate family. Mark enjoyed camping, cooking, gardening, fishing, boating and doing handy work around the house.

Mark was the beloved husband of Joan (Chmielewski) Snead since their marriage on March 4, 2000; father of Autumn (Micheal) Polzer; brother of William (Kay), Robert and James (Michele) Snead, Mary Cook and Helen (Mark) Caine; and grandfather of Bella Polzer and Patsy Snead. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

SNEAD — Family and friends of Mark D. Snead, who died Thursday, June 19, 2025, will be received from noon to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 29, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home.
