William L. Eagal
William L. Eagal, 72, of Butler, passed away Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 14, 1944, in Butler, the son of the late Dewey and Ruth (McGeary) Eagal.
Bill was a member of North Street Christian Church. He had been the head steel pourer at AK Steel, retiring in 2003. He also worked at Giant Eagle for 10 years. He loved playing the lottery and was a lifelong fan of Elvis and John Wayne as well as a classic car enthusiast. He was a Vietnam Army veteran.
Surviving are three daughters, Molly (Ken) Shumaker of Haines City, Fla., Melany (Andrew) Wenneker of Cardington, Ohio, and Mindy Eagal of Butler; two grandchildren, August Wenneker and Clarissa Shumaker; a sister, June Eagal of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou (O'Day) Eagal, who died Aug. 6, 2002; two sisters; one brother; and his two dogs, Dixie and Mason.
