Jack E. “Jake” Stahl, 76, of Butler passed away at 4:40 p.m. Saturday in the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born Feb. 29, 1936, in Butler to the late Ralph Stahl and Margaret (Mohan) Stahl.

Mr. Stahl worked in the paint/carpentry shop as a sign painter for Armco and retired in 1990. He was a 1954 graduate of Butler High School. Mr. Stahl was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mr. Stahl is survived by his companion, Sally; two sons, Shawn Stahl and his wife, Misty, of Butler and Jason Stahl and his wife, Janice, of Butler; one grandson, Kenneth Stahl, and one grandson, who is expected to be born in the beginning of January.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
