County woman earns award as a paralegal
On Wednesday, the Pennsylvania Legal Services will present an excellence award to a Butler County paralegal during an awards dinner in Harrisburg.
Geraldine "Gerry" Redmond of Harrisville, one of 11 award recipients this year, has worked as a paralegal and office manager for the Butler office of the Neighborhood Legal Services Association since 1974.
Gov. Ed Rendell will be the keynote speaker at the dinner, which honors members of the Pennsylvania Legislature, attorneys, judges and others who have shown outstanding commitment to provide equal justice to the poor.
"I think it's a very nice honor," said Redmond, who works with clients, as well as serving several administrative and accounting roles. "I just love my job."
