Erma L. Osborne
Erma L. Osborne, 87, of Slippery Rock died Tuesday in an automobile accident in front of her home on Route 8 in Slippery Rock Township.
Born in Branchton on July 26, 1918, she was the daughter of Floyd and Alice Simpson Wigton.
Mrs. Osborne attended Branchton and Slippery Rock schools. She was a homemaker and a retiree of General Electric in Grove City.
She was a member of the Branchton Methodist Church and worked on the election board for 30 years.
Mrs. Osborne was a past worthy matron of the Grove City Eastern Star and was still an active member. She was a member of the American Legion Unit 393, the Slippery Rock Senior Center and the Slippery Rock AARP. She also was a member of the Grove City Bowling League, a member of the Harrisville Card Club, a volunteer at the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center and at the VA's Christman Gift shop.
She is survived by three sons, W. Kirby Osborne of Slippery Rock, Floyd W. Osborne of Butler and Roger A. Osborne of Jefferson, Ohio; two sisters, Norma Daniels of Grove City and Ethel Wiley of the Trinity Living Center in Grove City; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Vernie Vitalie and Elmo Parke; a brother, Earl Wigton; and a grandson, Greg Osborne. James W. Osborne also preceded her in death.
OSBORNE — Erma L. Osborne, who died Tuesday, April 18, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the
