THANK YOU

The Kiwanis Club of Butler would like to thank all of the blood donors, who donated on Monday, Oct. 25.

We are very happy to report that the goal of productive units was exceeded.

The blood donated could potentially save up to 63 lives.

Special thanks to the Pizza Hut on West Cunningham Street for donating pizza for the donors.

Jack Cooper, board member Kiwanis Club of Butler

The Slippery Rock Development Events Committee would like to thank the Slippery Rock and Butler Eagle for the articles and weeks of advertising you did for our second annual Slippery Rock VillageFest. The event was made possible through generous donations and sponsorships made by local businesses and organizations. The article about VillageFest in the Sept. 13 Butler Eagle and the Sept. 17 Slippery Rock Eagle named Citizens National Bank as the sole sponsor for the event. This information was incorrect.Although Citizens National Bank did sponsor and support a number of events for the day, we had four other organizations that contributed with monetary sponsorships as well.We would like to thank the following: Giant Eagle of Slippery Rock, Slippery Rock Cleaning & Supply, Slippery Rock Federal Credit Union, and First National Bank of Slippery Rock for their generous donations that made our event possible. The events committee would also like to thank the following for providing services for VillageFest: All Saints Lutheran Church, Campbell's Bus Line, C-Zer's Spectrum of Sound, Slippery Rock High School Marching Band, Slippery Rock University, Slippery Rock University Brass Quartet, Slippery Rock University Chamber Singers, Slippery Rock University Concert Choir, Slippery Rock University Jazz Ensemble, Slippery Rock University Men's Quartet, Slippery Rock Florist, Tinkers Dam, and the Slippery Rock Business Association.Slippery Rock's strong community made events like VillageFest a possibility. Thank you Slippery Rock!Jennifer Sproat and Jane Burger, Slippery Rock Development Events Committee
