Barbary-Hopper

Lisa Barbary-Hopper, 56, passed away surrounded by family and friends, celebrating her life full of memories and laughter, on June 6, 2025.

Lisa was the proud daughter of William and the late Lucille (Greenert) Barbary who she loved and adored throughout her childhood and even more into adulthood. Her dad was her hero every day and she will now embrace her mom in Heaven, as she passed August of 2020.

Lisa attended Butler Area High School graduating in 1986, then went to Slippery Rock University where she was an active member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. Following Slippery Rock University, she then became a Registered Nurse from St. Margaret School of Nursing and found her passion caring for others. Those who knew Lisa loved being around her. She was always the life of the party with her quick wit and humor.

She leaves behind two beautiful daughters, Lexi and Olivia Hopper, who she loved with all her heart; a sister, Tricia Kradel; and brother, Bill Barbary. She adored being an aunt to Jake and Aliegh Kradel, Colton Frost and Luna Barbary. She remained friends with her ex-husband, Dave Hopper, and his mother, Shirley Hopper. She was the niece of Henrietta Paserba, Mary Kreinbucker, Jonathan Greenert, Helen Hores and Patrick Greenert.

The life Lisa leaves behind was full of love, kindness and laughter. As we learn from her short life, be forever true. Live everyday as it is your last, as we never know if we have tomorrow.

BARBARY-HOPPER — Family and friends of Lisa Barbary-Hopper, who died Friday, June 6, 2025, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler. A funeral service will immediately follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Keith Kozik officiating.

She will be laid to rest privately in Rose Hill Cemetery in Butler.
