Glenn Walker of Evans City was recently honored with the Service Award for Professional Excellence by the Evans City Rotary Club.Chosen for his commitment to community service, he has been active in the Oktoberfest, the Evans City Christmas Parade, Breakfast with Santa and the decorating of the community Christmas tree. He also supplies tractors, wagons, trailers and flatbeds for several community functions.Walker is currently employed at Three Rivers Ice Cream and Turner Tractor. He has served on the Evans City Borough Council for eight years and as a volunteer fireman for more than 25 years.---

<b>Cynthia Marshall</b> was recently named to the 2005 edition of Who's Who Among America's Teachers.A professor of English at the Community College of Beaver County since 1990, she has also appeared in Who's Who in American Education and Who's Who Among American Women.Marshall resides in Butler with her husband William Smith.---

<b>Samuel Mastovich</b> of Cranberry Township was recently presented with the RMU Young Alumni Achievement Award by the Alumni Association at Robert Morris University.Vice president and commercial lender with Sky Bank in New Castle, he holds a bachelor's degree in administration and finance and a master's degree in finance, both from Robert Morris.Mastovich is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, a member of the board of the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce and an officer and former president of the Colonial Athletic Club. He recently established an endowed scholarship fund at the university.---

The Zelienople Historical Society recently presented its Angel Award to <b>Weltha Myers</b>.An active member of the society since 1979, Myers currently serves as a trustee and treasurer. She has also served as chief financial officer of the association and has participated in many fundraising and community events.The Angel Award was established by the Board of Trustees of Zelienople Historical Society to honor Joan Teichart, who donated the Buhl House to the society.---

The Kiwanis Club of Butler recently installed its officers for 2005-06.The president is the <b>Rev. Beverly Gross</b>. <b>Ruth Crotzer</b> was installed as secretary and <b>Tony Maletta</b> is the club treasurer.The club also announced that proceeds from its recent Peanut Day fundraiser will benefit the Salvation Army, the Red Cross and other charities.---

<b>Paul Adomites</b> of Emlenton was recently awarded second place in the 2005 Friends of Old Time Radio 2005 scriptwriting contest for his play "A Good Rub."A substitute teacher in the Allegheny-Clarion Valley and Riverview Intermediate Unit, he has written several books and articles on baseball history.His play, "The Fantabulous Adventures of Franklin Frankie," will be performed on Oct. 28 at the Barrow-Civic Theatre in Franklin.
