JOHNSTOWN, Cambria County — Christianna Dawson, Butler County's Junior Miss, was named first runner-up at the Pennsylvania's Junior Miss Program on April 30.

The recipient of a $1,000 cash scholarship she was the winner in the fitness and talent categories, earning two $200 savings bonds.

As her talent, Dawson performed a tap dance routine to "Sing, Sing, Sing."

The daughter of Jay and Susan Dawson of Valencia, she is a senior at Mars High School.

Christianna will be attending Grove City College in the Fall to major in molecular biology.

The new Pennsylvania's Junior Miss is Shalia Sakona from Centre County. She is the daughter of Dean & Kathy Sakona of Bellefonte.
