The Kiwanis Club of Butler recently installed new officers for the 2006-07 club year.

Anthony Maletta.The Kiwanis Club meets at 6 p.m. Tuesdays at the Butler YWCAfor dinner meetings and programs.The club currently has 30 active members who participate in several community service projects and blood drives.———
Jim Draper of Hudson, Wis., formerly of Butler, was named the Alumni Mentor of the Year by the MBA Career Services staff at the University of Iowa's Henry B. Tippie School of Management.A marketing development manager at 3M in St. Paul, Minn., he was recognized for his mentorship of MBA students and his service to the Tippie School.A 1996 graduate of the Tippie MBA program, Draper is an active member of the Twin Cities Iowa Club alumni group. He has helped market the MBA programs to prospective students and provided a testimonial for the new Tippie Professional Portfolio publication.Draper has formally mentored two students and informally mentored several other Tippie MBA students.Draper, a Slippery Rock University graduate, was formally honored at an event Sept. 29.———
Covenant Community Church in Wexford recently honored
Ray Turner, owner of Turner Tractors in Foward Township, for donating the use of a 12-foot trailer for a mission trip to Louisiana in July.The church used the trailer to haul tools and supplies for their trip, where they helped rebuild a home damaged by Hurricane Katrina.Turner was presented a plaque by the church's pastor, the Rev. J.D. Funyak.———Winners of the
