SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University basketball players Jamiyah Johnson and Frankie Hughes have been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women's and Men's Basketball Players of the Week, respectively.

Johnson averaged 21 points and 17 rebounds in three SRU victories last week, including 26 points and 23 rebounds against Fairmont State. She leads all of NCAA Division II with 201 rebounds this year.

Hughes, a guard on the men's team, scored 44 points and sank 10 treys in SRU's narrow loss to Pitt-Johnstown last week.
