Meet the graduates of First Baptist Christian School
First Baptist Christian School’s graduation took place at 7 p.m. May 30.
The valedictorian, Melissa Drake, is the daughter of Dee Drake, of Slippery Rock. Melissa has been a volunteer for years doing monthly home nursing services, nursery and junior church and a student teacher at the dance studio she learns at. Following graduation, Melissa plans to pursue an education to become a physicians assistant and minor as a dance education.
The salutatorian is Josie Oesterling, daughter of Ben and Kelly Oesterling, of Prospect. In her time at First Baptist Christian School, Josie played volleyball and basketball at the school. After graduation, Josie plans to become an elementary school teacher.
The other two students who graduated from First Baptist Christian School are Tyler Karner and Seeun Park.
