TOURING D.C.
East Brady-area students Allyson Olkowski and Christopher Znosko recently represented Parker-based Central Electric Cooperative in the Washington, D.C., Youth Tour Program. Together with 1,500 high school students from nationwide, they met with congressional representatives, visited historic sites and learned about energy issues. The 47-year-old youth tour is sponsored by electric cooperatives, their state associations and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. The CEC serves about 25,000 members in Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Clarion, Forest and Venango counties.
