Race to Anyplace at SRU
Dripping with sweat, Slippery Rock firefighter Phil Rozic keeps on pedaling Saturday to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The third annual Race to Anyplace to benefit the Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was held Saturday at the Aebersold Recreation Center at Slippery Rock University.
Participants rode spin bikes keeping them in motion for six straight hours piling on miles and raising money. Organizers said the event featured 400 people and 36 teams. It raised $31,000, topping last year's total of $18,000.
