Leon Duda
Leon A. Duda, 97, of Grove City, passed away Sunday evening, May 18, 2025, at AHN Grove City.
Leon was born in Whitaker, Allegheny County, on Nov. 11, 1927, to Stanley F. and Bertha (Buczko) Duda.
He married Dorothy Mae Dawson on Nov. 5, 1948, and she preceded him in death on April 19, 2017.
He was a member of Church of the Beloved Disciple, Grove City.
Leon served in the U.S. Army.
He retired from Westinghouse Corp., Sharon, Pa., where he worked as a fitter for 27 years.
Leon enjoyed woodworking in the winter and gardening in the summer. Most people would remember him from years of him selling produce.
He is survived by two sons, David M. (Cheryl) Duda of Mercer and Brian Duda of Sunrise, Fla.; two grandchildren, Michael J. (April) Duda of Grove City and Lisa (Adrian) Christy of Mercer; and four great-grandchildren.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a son, Daniel Duda; two sisters, Helen Bitsura and Bernice Duda; and three brothers, Steven, Edward and John Duda.
DUDA — Visitation for Leon A. Duda, who died Sunday, May 18, 2025, will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 23, at Church of the Beloved Disciple (Day Chapel), 1310 S. Center St. Extension, Grove City.
Funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 23, at Church of the Beloved Disciple.
Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park.
