BlueSox' win streak reaches 4
Denis Lyman limited host Lorain County to just two hits in eight innings in Butler’s 6-0 Prospect League win Sunday afternoon.
Lyman fanned six and walked a pair before Kyle Zaorski pitched a scoreless ninth inning to cap the victory.
Six different players scored a run for the BlueSox, including Danny Urban, who added a single and two runs batted in.
In Saturday’s game, Butler jumped out to a 5-0 lead after three innings and held on for a 10-7 win over the Ironmen.
Butler High School product Mick Fennell singled, doubled and scored a run while Stephen Sada went 4-for-5 with three runs scored and one batted in.
Starting pitcher Ben Hartz earned the win after striking out seven and walking none in 5 2/3 innings of work. He allowed four runs (two earned) on six hits.
Austin Ross picked up the save with 2 2/3 innings pitched, striking out three and walking one.
The BlueSox (4-1), winners of four straight, travel to Chillicothe tonight.
