Man charged with stalking Jennifer Aniston and vandalism after crashing car through her front gate

LOS ANGELES — Prosecutors said Wednesday that a Mississippi man who harassed Jennifer Aniston for two years before crashing his vehicle through the front gate of the “Friends” star's Los Angeles home has been charged with felony stalking and vandalism.

Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, 48, of New Albany, Mississippi, also faces an aggravating circumstance of the threat of great bodily harm, Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said.

Carwyle, who has been held in jail since his arrest Monday, is set to be arraigned on Thursday. His bail has been set at $150,000. It was not immediately clear if he has retained an attorney.

Carwyle is accused of repeatedly harassing Aniston — referred to by the district attorney only as Jennifer A. — by sending her unwanted voicemail, email and social media messages starting in 2023.

Then early Monday afternoon in LA's wealthy Bel Air neighborhood, Carwyle crashed his vehicle through her front gate, causing major damage, prosecutors said. A security guard stopped him in her driveway before police arrived and arrested him.

Police said Aniston was at home at the time. There were no reports of anyone being injured. Messages left with her representatives seeking comment were not immediately answered.

Carlyle could get up to three years in prison if he is convicted as charged.

“My office is committed to aggressively prosecuting those who stalk and terrorize others, ensuring they are held accountable,” Hochman said in a statement.

Aniston bought the midcentury mansion on a 3.4-acre lot for about $21 million in 2012, according to reporting by Architectural Digest.

She became one of the biggest stars in television in her 10 years on NBC's “Friends.” Aniston won an Emmy Award for best lead actress in a comedy for the role, and she has been nominated for nine more. She currently stars in “The Morning Show” on Apple TV+.

Miley Cyrus

Tish Cyrus speaks out after unfollowing Miley on Instagram

Tish Cyrus is speaking out after unfollowing daughter Miley on Instagram, roughly a year after reconciling with younger daughter Noah amid their own rumored feud.

Since Wednesday, the manager and matriarch’s comments section on her latest Instagram post have been full of curious onlookers asking why she unfollowed the 32-year-old former “Hannah Montana” star.

“I didn’t! Idk what happened lol,” Tish, 57, replied to one such comment.

The account for “Sorry We’re Cyrus,” the podcast Tish hosts with her other daughter Brandi, also chimed in.

“She probably didn’t have her glasses on and clicked the wrong button,” the account joked, to which Tish responded with multiple crying laughing emojis.

As of Thursday afternoon, Tish was back to following the Grammy winner, but TMZ reports the unfollow occurred in the hours after ex-husband Billy Ray Cyrus teased that he’d patched up his rocky relationship with Miley and said he “can’t wait to see” her.

On Wednesday, a post shared by Miley had also been liked by her dad’s new girlfriend, Elizabeth Hurley, with whom he went public on Easter.

Tish and Noah, 25, had previously been at the center of nearly two years of estrangement rumors after the former started dating “Prison Break” actor Dominic Purcell in 2022. Their relationship began just months after Tish and the “Achy Breaky Heart” crooner officially ended their contentious marriage.

Insiders said Noah had been “seeing” Purcell in a “friends with benefits way, off and on,” shortly before her mom’s relationship with him.

Miley allegedly “confronted” her mom about the drama at Tish’s 2023 wedding to Purcell, to which Noah and her 30-year-old son, Braison, were reportedly not invited.

Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck, J. Lo slash asking price of Beverly Hills home to less than they paid for it

After nearly a year of trying to unload their marital mansion in Beverly Hills, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have finally slashed the asking price, despite J. Lo reportedly not wanting to do so.

But sprawling estates still cost a thing, as TMZ reports the newly divorced A-listers reduced the price from $68 million to just under $60 million — slightly less than they paid for it in 2023.

Insiders with direct knowledge told the outlet that the “Gone Girl” star, 52, was the one pushing for the reduction. It’s unclear what exactly led Lopez, 55, to agree.

Realtors told TMZ that the value of the 38,000-square-foot property has suffered in part due to an uptick in insurance costs, with anyone who buys the mansion being required to put up around $500,000 a year for insurance alone.

Affleck and Lopez purchased the property in May 2023 for just under $61 million, only for them to put it back on the market just over a year later — fueling divorce rumors that were already swirling at the time.

After tying the knot in two separate ceremonies in the summer of 2022, Lopez filed for divorce last August, on the second anniversary of their second wedding. The pair reached a settlement in January, which included no spousal support from either party.

Despite remaining mum on the split for months, they two have recently become more open about the end of the marriage, or at least how they’re coping with it.

Affleck insists the divorce was “drama-free” and there was “no scandal, no soap opera, no intrigue.” Lopez, meanwhile, says she has never felt so “free” and that she’s “come out the other side stronger and better.”
