Olive Edwina Davis
Olive Edwina Davis, 88, of Saxonburg passed away Monday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot.
Born Aug. 22, 1922, in London, England, she was the only child of Robert Percy Clark and Frances Mary (Stone) Clark.
She was educated at the Woodford County Girls' School, which evacuated to Luton in September 1939. There she met George, a U.S. Army airman.
In early 1946, she moved to the Saxonburg area, where she lived for the remainder of her life.
Olive was employed at Laporte's Titanium from 1940 to 1944 and at the Butler County Mushroom Farm from 1957 to 1987.
She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Saxonburg and the Tarentum Book Club.
Olive enjoyed traveling, gardening and reading.
Surviving are her loving son, Lawrence C. (Linda) Davis of Manhattan, Kan.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, George H. Davis; and her daughter, Gwyneth B. Davis.
<B>DAVIS </B>— Friends Olive Edwina Davis, who died Monday, May 23, 2011, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. A memorial service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Saxonburg with the Rev. Roger G. Keller officiating.
