Beatrice Delozier
Beatrice S. Delozier has gone home Sunday, April 27, 2025, to be with her Lord.
She moved to Passavant Retirement Community in 2008. She lived a long and productive life there. She was active in many programs including Bible studies and painting class.
She was born Jan. 2, 1922, in Milton, to John H. and Geraldine (Berkheimer) Snyder. She was a graduate of Milton High School (1940) and attended Thompson Business College. She was a member of Fourth Lutheran Church, Altoona. She taught Sunday School for 54 years, was youth group leader and a former member of church council. She served as a Girl Scout leader for 25 years in Bellwood and as a former director of Pennsylvania Retirees of National Campers and Hikers Association. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Delphi Chapter, Altoona.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Diane Delozier-Hyde (Dr. John B. Hyde, deceased) and Debra (Delozier) Gross and husband, Stanley. Also surviving are three grandsons, Andrew Gross (Shelagh), Benjamin Gross (Annette) and Theodore Gross (Farjana Abdul); and two great-grandchildren, Donovan and Marin (parents, Andrew and Shelagh).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen S. Delozier, whom she married Dec. 21, 1943, and who died March 2, 2005. Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Raymond Snyder, Donald Snyder and James Snyder; and sisters, Charlotte (Snyder) Hufnagle and Helen (Snyder) Coffel.
