Robin Jewart
Robin S. Jewart, 64, of Butler, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at West Penn Hospital.
She was born on July 29, 1960, to the late Bernard O. Friedlander and Ferne L. (Metzger) Friedlander.
Robin graduated from Butler High School in 1978. She then attended Pittsburgh Beauty School and opened her own salon, Custom Cut and Style, where she was a hairdresser. In her later years, she worked at AVI Food Systems.
Robin was past president of Rainbow Animal Refuge, where she proudly fostered hundreds of cats. Robin was very creative and had an eye for decorating. She enjoyed music, painting and, in her younger years, horseback riding. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family and fur babies, Frankie, Walter, Les, Nermal and Heidi.
She is survived by her husband, Gary L. Jewart; sisters, Jayne “Jenner” Friedlander and Mia (Mitch) Tepper; mother-in-law, Eileen Jewart; brother-in law, Ed (Pam) Jewart; sisters-in-law, Lori (Steve) Moorhead and Brenda Jewart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Kenneth Jewart.
JEWART — A visitation for Robin S. Jewart, who died Tuesday, April 29, 2025, will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 5, at the funeral home, with certified celebrant Lois Trimbur.
A private burial will be held at North Butler Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the animal rescue of your choice.
