Audrey Barnhart Altemus

Audrey Barnhart Altemus, 83, of Zelienople, a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Wednesday.

Born Oct. 16, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Helen Stoughton Barnhart.

Audrey loved to sew, creating more than 18 wedding dresses through the years. She also loved planting in her garden.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Clair E. Altemus, Robert A. (Susie) Altemus and David E. (Maryann) Altemus; her daughter, Susan (Kevin) Nohe; her sisters, Evelyn (Joseph) Semel, Jacklyn (John) Nickita and Dixie Leonard; her brothers, Harold, Walter and Larry; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Red” Altemus; her grandson, Jason Nohe, and four siblings.

ALTEMUS — As per the request of Audrey Barnhart Altemus, who passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016, there will be no visitation.A memorial service will be later.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E.
