Debra Lynn Klingensmith
Debra Lynn Klingensmith, 60, of New Castle passed away Tuesday morning at her home.
Born on June 13, 1955, in Spokane, Wash., she was the daughter of Shirley Myers Frazier and the late Thomas Harry Frazier.
On June 9, 1973, she married her beloved husband, Larry Dean Klingensmith, and the two were together for more than 38 wonderful years until he preceded her in death on May 2, 2012.
Debra retired as a nurse practitioner at a family practice in Slippery Rock.
Before that, she worked for 30 years at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Debra loved being outdoors and camping, and she also enjoyed music, sewing and cooking.
Debra will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who dedicated her time to taking care of her family and others.
Debra is survived by her children, Tamara M. Kaufman and her husband James of Butler and Jennifer S. Elliott and her husband Aaron of New Castle; brothers, Robert Frazier of Plain Grove Township, Lawrence County, and Thomas Frazier of New Castle; sister, Patricia Klingensmith and husband Harold of Cerro Gordo, N.C.; sister-in-law, Pamela Frazier of Ohio; grandchildren, Derek James Kaufman, Zachary Dean Kaufman and Alexandra Mae Elliott; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Frazier; and a niece.
KLINGENSMITH — Visitation for Debra Lynn Klingensmith, who died on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road, New Castle.Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
