Rare Chinese bird
Zoo inspector Peter Saborowski feeds the little crane "Atilla" in a zoo in Duisburg, western Germany, on Wednesday. The rare little Chinese bird is just 10 days old and does not leave his keeper's side. The zoo waited for years for the cranes to mate, and the chick was reared in an incubator beside the desk in Saborowski's office. The chick, which weighs less than a pound, should one day be as tall as an adult male.
