Thomas “Roy” Elford
Thomas “Roy” Elford, 68, of Connoquenessing Township passed away on Wednesday.
Born Sept. 16, 1949, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Lewis Elford and Ruth Foster Elford.
Tom was a graduate of Central Catholic High School.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Tom retired in 2010 from BASF/MSA as a boiler man.
Known as “Mister-Fix-It,” he enjoyed woodworking. He also enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, golfing and avidly cheering on the Steelers. Above all, Tom loved being with his grandchildren.
He will be dearly missed by his family and numerous friends.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Diana Reedy Elford, whom he married March 6, 1971; his son, Dr. Brian R. Elford and his wife, Mary, of McMurray; his grandchildren, Grace, Jack, Carolena and Jameson; and his sister-in-law, Carol.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother, Lewis Elford; and his sister, Linda Elford.
ELFORD — Friends of Thomas “Roy” Elford, who died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E.
