Phyllis Kappeler
Phyllis Kappeler, 84, of Butler passed away Thursday at New Haven Court in Butler.
Born on Oct. 19, 1929, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Francis Kappeler and Blanche A. (Green) Kappeler.
Phyllis graduated from Butler High School in 1947.
She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Carbis Walker and Associates in Butler for 21 years. She also worked at the Butler Memorial Hospital as a supervisor for the accounts receivable office for 13 years and then for the Wagner Printing Co. for 10 years until 1995. Finally, she worked part time for Moses Jewelers as a bookkeeper and sales associate.
She was a member of the St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving are her brothers, Robert F. (Joan) Kappeler of Butler and John T. (Gail) Kappeler of the Villages, Fla.; her nephew; her four nieces; and a number of grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Niggel.
Kappeler — There will not be a visitation for Phyllis Kappeler, who passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler.
