Mae Wise
Mae S. Wise, 102, of Evans City, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025, with family by her side, at her daughter’s home.
Born Feb. 2, 1923, and raised in Saxonburg, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Clara Knoch Miller.
Mae attended St. John’s United Church of Christ in Evans City. She attended Butler High School and worked at various retail stores in her early years, with a passion for fashion design.
She met her husband, Harold, and they were married on June 16, 1946. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, especially on cruises. She also loved bowling and played for over 60 years. Mae was also the star of a commercial for the Big Mac for McDonald’s. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Carol Korn, Barbara Nulph and Marsha Gavula (Michael); her grandchildren, David (Tiffany) Korn, Douglas (Ciara) Korn, Stephen (Missy) Nulph, Kevin (Tammy) Nulph and Ashley Woessner; her great-grandsons, Brandon (Kenzie) Nulph, Ryan Nulph and Winfield Hancock; her great-granddaughters, Courtney Smith, Shelby Smith, Kylee Smith, Quinn Korn, Chloe Korn and Kaitlin Korn; and two great-great-grandchildren, Millie Mae Nulph and Walker Smith.
She will live in the hearts of everyone, and in the lives she touched.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold W. Wise, on Sept. 14, 2006; her infant son; her sons-in-law, James Korn and Dennis Nulph; her sisters, Dorothy Cloutman and Pearl Hall; and her brother, William Miller.
WISE — A viewing for Mae S. Wise, who died Tuesday, April 22, 2025, will be held from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 25, at the funeral home, with Pastor Paul Cope officiating.
Mae will be laid to rest at Butler County Memorial Park.
