Richard D. Roxbury, 70, of Prospect passed away Thursday afternoon at the VNA Inpatient Hospice Center, Butler.

He was born Nov. 28, 1939, and was the son of Olive E. Roxbury Hulick and the late John T. Roxbury.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 to 1962. He was a member of the American Legion Post 417, Prospect.

He was semi-retired from the Louis Leeper Co., where he was a food marketing specialist.

He enjoyed traveling with his wife, including going to flea markets and camping; his two granddaughters; his military collection, and watching TV.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen Marbell Roxbury, whom he married May 18, 1963; a daughter, Lori (Tim) Durso of Prospect; a son, Rich (Jenn) Roxbury of Butler; two granddaughters, Laken and Madison Roxbury; his mother, Olive E. Roxbury Hulick of the Chicora Medical Center; his brother, Tom (Donna) Roxbury of Butler; his father-in-law, Arthur Marbell Sr. of Prospect; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, two infant brothers and his mother-in-law.

<B>ROXBURY</B> — Visitation for Richard D. Roxbury, who died Thursday, July 22, 2010, will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home</B>, 387 Main St., Prospect, where his funeral service will start at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Rob Allison, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Prospect, officiating.
