Erma Jean Desmond
Erma Jean Kaltenbaugh Desmond, 69, went to be with Jesus at 10:13 p.m. Sunday after a courageous battle with cancer.
Erma was born June 7, 1939.
She was a beloved mother to Wendy Bunney (Dan), Terri Raabe (Jim), and William Desmond II (Jeanne). She was a grandmother to Andrea Anderson (Travis), Kimberly Boyle (Bob), Danelle Bunney, Cassandra Bunney, Timothy Raabe, Johnathan Raabe and Marki Raabe. Erma was a great-grandmother to Noah Anderson. She also is survived by five sisters and two brothers.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Forrest and Ella Mae Kaltenbaugh (Bloom).
Erma was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Butler and taught the nursery class for 52 years. She also loved playing piano at the Lowry House. She had a kind, tender, giving and spirited heart. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
<B>DESMOND</B> — Friends of Erma Jean Kaltenbaugh Desmond, who died Sunday, March 8, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E.North St.A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Butler with Youth Pastor Jeff Gwilt officiating.
