Butler County Area Vocational Technical School reported its first confirmed case of COVID-19.

A Monday news release says the school community was notified about the case through a phone message Friday. It does not say if the case involved a student or employee.

The release includes a warning about the virus, provides cleaning and sanitizing recommendations, explains symptoms and says any student who had close contact will be contacted by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
