Nancy L. Baust Slayton, 66, of Fombell died Saturday at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.

Born May 29, 1941, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Anna Kaiser Laber.

She retired from Giant Eagle Markets, McIntyre Square, Pittsburgh after 36 years of employment and later worked at Baldinger's Market, Zelienople.

Mrs. Slayton was a member of American Legion Post 474 Ladies Auxiliary, Zelienople.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John Hawkins of Fombell; a brother, Fred Laber of Bridgeville; two sisters, Rayna Barie of West View and Linda Fortunato of Bridgeville; and two grandsons, Kenny Buchanan and Johnny Hawkins.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth R. Baust, who died May 2, 1982; her second husband, Sidney E. Slayton; a daughter, Shari Buchanan; and two sisters, Lois Zayas and Jean Maiolie. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

<B>SLAYTON</B> — Friends of Nancy L. Baust Slayton, who died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Fogal officiating.
