Paul G. Maurhoff
Paul G. Maurhoff, 90, of Fawn Township passed away Thursday at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Richard Smith, after being diagnosed with mesothelioma in April.
Born on Aug. 5, 1923, in Sarver, he was the son of Edward C. Maurhoff and Margaret Riemer Maurhoff.
Paul served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Europe.
He worked at Allegheny Ludlum in Brackenridge and later retired from Saxonburg Ceramics, where he was a maintenance foreman.
His favorite hobby was gardening and canning. He was a wonderful organic gardener.
Surviving are his two daughters, Sandra Lee (Richard W.) Smith of Fawn Township and Melody Marie Harbison of Houston, Texas; his sister, Della “Bebe” (Walt) Sarver of Montana; his brother, Milo “Sam” (Grace) Maurhoff of Sarver; and his four grandchildren, one great-grandson and one great-great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Norma Jean O'Hara Maurhoff on April 18, 1994; his infant son, Jody; his sister, Alice Lassinger; his brother, Wilmer “Wimp” Maurhoff; and his two infant brothers, Walter and Raymond.
Maurhoff — The friends of Paul G. Maurhoff, who passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg. The services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev.
