Police Reports

The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:

State police, Butler

March 3 — Xavier Richard Moore, 20, of Carnegie, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct following a March 1 incident in Slippery Rock Township. Police said Moore resisted attempts to take him into custody.

March 3 — Rebecca Lynn Strong, 32, of Butler, was charged with two felony counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one misdemeanor count of simple assault following a March 1 incident in Center Township. Police said Strong punched a man in the face before fleeing the scene in her vehicle. Police said Strong had a blood alcohol level of 0.085%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.

March 3 — David Brian Giesler, 65, of Butler, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, three misdemeanor counts of controlled substance possession and five misdemeanor counts of drug paraphernalia possession following a Dec. 14 incident in Penn Township. Police said they obtained a search warrant for Giesler’s residence and found methamphetamine, crack cocaine, LSD, two scales and small Ziploc bags.

March 3 — Brian D. Alley, 51, of Pittsburgh, was charged with misdemeanor controlled substance possession and four misdemeanor counts of drug paraphernalia possession following a Dec. 14, 2023, incident in Penn Township. Police said they obtained a search warrant for Alley’s residence and found methamphetamine, a methamphetamine smoking pipe, a marijuana smoking pipe and a used syringe.

Butler Twp

12:52 p.m. Feb. 28 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash with one rolled over near the intersection of South Main Street and East Jefferson Street. Police said the vehicle of Anthony Dedionisio, 43, of Butler, was making a left turn when it was struck by the vehicle of Traci Oesterling, 53, of Butler. Police said Dedionisio’s vehicle overturned but no injuries were reported. Dedionisio was cited in the crash. Butler Ambulance Service, Butler Township Volunteer Fire District and Atwell’s Towing Service also responded.

March 3 — Michael Peter Lang, 55, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor driving on a suspended or revoked license following a March 1 traffic stop.

Cranberry Twp

March 3 — Eduardo Gomez, 33, of Pittsburgh, was charged with two misdemeanor driving under the influence counts and one misdemeanor count each of resisting arrest and evading arrest following a March 3 traffic stop. Police said Gomez attempted to pull away, fled on foot and had a blood alcohol level of 0.151%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
