Rather disingenuous and hypocritical to focus on political contributions ( he donated the money to the Republican Governors Committee, not the Republican National Committee) from Rupert Murdoch, Chairman of News Corp., the parent company of FOX news and claim that this proves that FOX News is neither fair or balanced but leans to the conservative side of issues; while at the same time not mentioning those contributions from other media figures/companies. For example:

(72% of total contributions) since 1999. So, from this we should surmise that 72% of all journalists slanted their stories toward the liberal spectrum.

We have people like Michael Eisner, former Disney chief, which owns ABC; Jeff Immelt, chief of GE, owns NBC and MSNBC; Ted Turner, former chief of Turner Broadcasting or CNN; George Soros, founder of Media Matters. All “notorious” liberals contributing money to political causes they favored. Following your logic then, that means that all these networks lean to left in their views. So, can’t the conservatives have one since the liberals have 4 or more??? Or does that sense of fairplay offend your sensibilities???

There is information on everyone. With today’s campaign finance laws one can contribute directly, through PAC’s of various forms, corporations and 527 committee’s.

In actuality it all needs cleaned up but there appears to be no clear cut solution.
