Jean M. Pearce

Jean M. Pearce, 71, of Mars died Tuesday evening at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in Pittsburgh on April 21, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Mary Cichoski Hathazy.

Jean worked in the accounting department of Cast-Con Stone in Saxonburg.

She was a member of the St. Kilian Church in Mars, where she belonged to the Ladies of Charity and was a funeral greeter.

Surviving are a son, Kenneth Pearce and his wife, Niki, of North Royalton, Ohio; a daughter, Diana Pearce of Mars; and her grandchildren, Taylor, Logan, Garrett, Nolan and Jordan. She was the sister of Stephan Hathazy and his wife, Gloria, of New Kensington and Patricia Baker, and her husband, Charles, of Fogelsville, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl D. Pearce, who she married May 26, 1962, and who died on Dec. 14, 2004.

PEARCE — There will be no calling hours for Jean M. Pearce, who died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012.

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial in the St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church, corner of Clark and Cherry Streets, Mars, at 10 a.m. Friday. Father Charles Bober, pastor, will officiate. The burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Township.
